Sports Turf North East's over seeding is carried out with a disc seeder, to ensure maximum seed to soil contact which increases germination.
DEEP TINE AERATION
No matter what playing surface you have it is important to ensure good drainage and aeration of the soil.
Ground aeration is vital as a lack of air in the soil can cause poor growth and grass structure. Deep tine aeration alleviates compaction, increases gaseous exchange in the soil and can aid the breakdown of thatch.
Aeration also helps with the movement of water though the profile and ultimately helping with water logging and saturation.
SOIL ANALYSIS
Here at Sports Turf North East we are able to analyse your playing surface to establish best plan of action for maintenance.
Our soil analysis service provides topsoil analysis to the British Standard for Topsoil (BS 3882:2007) which is a common requirement in site specifications.
The British Standard for Topsoil includes a comprehensive analysis and a certificate that classifies soils in a range of categories
